COUCH
ROCK STACKS
My father has built cairns, balancing rock sculptures, for as long as I can remember. These paintings are an ode to him and his mindfulness practice. I started this series during the pandemic. I was soothed by “pushing” color around, balancing pigments into soft shapes. Eventually, I started including paper scraps to build these forms, similiar to my other works which lean heavily on layering and collage to tell a story.
